What that means in practice

The tours listed here are sold by Viator and GetYourGuide. When you follow a link from one of these pages and go on to book, the platform pays us a share of its own commission. You pay the same fare either way; the price on the booking page is the operator's price, not a marked-up one.

What we are not

We are not the Veuve Clicquot house, and this is not its website. We have no connection with Veuve Clicquot Ponsardin, Moët Hennessy or LVMH, with any other champagne house or grower, with Reims Cathedral, with the Reims tourist office, or with any of the places these tours stop at. The house's name is used only to describe the place the tours visit.

We are not a tour operator either. We do not run any of these tours, employ any of these guides or hold your booking. Your contract is with the operator, through the platform.

How tours get listed

Operators cannot pay for placement, position or a badge. A badge on a card is kept only where the tour's figures support it: a Top rated badge only on a tour rated 4.9 or higher with at least 20 reviews, so the platform's own "Top rated" flag on days rated 4.8 is not shown. Some operators sell several different days, and each appears on its own because each is separately bookable and priced.

A tour is listed as a Veuve Clicquot day only if its fare names the house. A few Champagne days visit "a famous house such as Veuve Clicquot" by availability; they are listed, marked "House may vary", and never called Veuve Clicquot tours. The featured tours at the top of the homepage are three different days that name the house: a shared day from Reims station with a family winery and lunch, a private day from a Paris hotel with Moët & Chandon, and a private day from Reims with a boutique producer.

Prices, ratings and how current they are

Prices, star ratings and review counts belong to the operators and were taken from their own listings on 24 September 2026. They move, and the figure at checkout is the one that counts. Every tour fare is quoted in US dollars because that is the currency the listings were captured in; nothing is converted at an exchange rate. Every fare is per person, and several private days need two people to book.

The house's prices are printed in euros, as it publishes them on its own visit page, with its calendar, address, access rules and café hours. Its history comes from the house's own history page, and the ageing rules from its vine-to-wine page. The UNESCO listing comes from whc.unesco.org, the cathedral's hours from its two official sites, the train time and the Reims offices from Reims Tourisme, the appellation and the 2026 harvest from the Comité Champagne, and the climate normals from Météo-France. Where a detail comes from an operator's listing, such as a meeting point, a group size or an age rule, it belongs to that tour.

What we deliberately do not publish

Madame Clicquot's age when she was widowed. The house's own page gives two figures that do not agree; we print the year, 1805.
A minimum age, a refund rule or a booking lead time for the house. The house publishes none. The age rules we print are the tour operators' own, named as such.
The house's vineyard area or a list of its grand crus. It publishes neither.
Train times beyond one. We print Reims Tourisme's 45 minutes from Paris to Reims. Some listings recommend particular trains; check SNCF for your own date.
The house's calendar after 3 January 2027. Nothing later was published when we checked.
Listing claims the house's own pages contradict. One listing gives a shorter winter closure than the house's published dates, and one describes Moët & Chandon among its cellar visits while naming only Veuve Clicquot in what the fare includes. Neither is repeated; each card follows what the fare includes.
