Reims has two stations. Reims Centre is in the city, and the shared tours meet on its forecourt. Champagne-Ardenne TGV is at Bezannes, joined to the centre by tram. What is the 8:28 am TGV plan?
France Intense recommends the 8:28 am TGV from Paris-Est, Monday to Saturday, arriving in Reims at 9:14. Its shared days meet in front of the tourist office on the station forecourt at 9:20 am. That leaves you six minutes.
From there the day is theirs. France Intense's grower day opens with four glasses at the house, then the cathedral, lunch, the Montagne de Reims vineyards and a family estate, back at the station at 5:45 pm. It runs on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays. À La Française's day meets at the same place and time.

What is the 7:30 am pickup plan?
A private car collects you at your hotel. On Clewel's half day the pickup is at 7:30 am, the drive takes about two hours, and you are in the house's cellars from 10 to 11:30. After 30 minutes at the cathedral you lunch in Reims at your own cost, and you are back in Paris at about 4 pm.
The longer car days start just as early. The Grand Vintage day collects you at 7:30 am and drops you back at about 8 pm, 12.5 hours later. Clewel's other half day picks you up between 7 and 10:30 am. Your driver drives and waits; the house's own guide leads you underground.
Which cellar slot fits your day?
The house opens from 9:30 am to 5:30 pm on open days, and sells each cellar tour by date and time. From the 9:14 train, a slot from about 10:30 gives you time for the taxi or the bus. The one-hour visits, at EUR 36 and EUR 60, leave the afternoon free. The four-hour La Grande Dame visit, at EUR 260, fills most of the day by itself.

What fits around the house?
Reims Cathedral, first. It opens every day from 8 am and entry is free; the towers are a guided visit at EUR 9. Most tours stop there for about 30 minutes, and on your own you can see it before your slot.
The house itself is on the edge of the city, about 30 minutes' walk from the centre by its own figure. A Citybus stop is named Veuve Clicquot, and there is a taxi drop-off in front of reception. The cellars below stay at 10 to 12 °C, so bring a layer even in August.
Is lunch included, or is it yours?
On the shared days from Reims and on the TGV day, lunch is in your fare. On the Clewel car days it is not: you eat in Reims or Épernay and pay for it yourself. On your own, Café Clicquot at the visit centre serves from 11 am to 5 pm without reservations, on the cellars' calendar.
Can you add Moët & Chandon or Épernay?
Yes, and several days do. Moët & Chandon is on the Avenue de Champagne in Épernay, open every day from 9:30 am to 5 pm, with visits from EUR 48 at its own door. By direct train Épernay is about 80 minutes from Paris-Est.

When are you back in Paris?
On the half days by car, at about 4 pm. On the Grand Vintage day, at about 8 pm. On a shared day from Reims you are back at the station at 5:45 pm, and France Intense suggests any train home after that.
Do not book an early train to save an hour. One traveller on France Intense's local-domain day missed the cathedral because the train home left at 4:15. A traveller on the TGV day found the return late, and changing it cost extra.
What changes on Sundays and in summer?
In 2026 the house opened every day from 29 June to 30 August, and Tuesday to Sunday either side. So a Monday works only in high summer. From 4 November it opens Wednesday to Sunday.
Sunday mornings are harder by train. France Intense recommends the 7:58 am TGV to Champagne-Ardenne on Sundays, and warns that there is no Sunday-morning train in July and August. On a summer Sunday, a car from Paris is the simpler day.
What should you pack for the day?
- A warm layer. The cellars stay at 10 to 12 °C all year, by the house's own figure, and a cellar tour lasts one to two hours.
- Shoes with grip. You go down into the chalk on foot.
- A stroller, if you need one. On request at reception it can go down into the cellars with you; there is nowhere to leave it upstairs.
- No dog. The visit centre admits no animals.
- Your train tickets. On the TGV day they are in your fare; on your own, check whether they name Reims Centre or Champagne-Ardenne.
